Discover the traditions of wine-making in Tramonti and take in the authentic flavours of the Amalfi Coast with a guided tour and wine tasting at Tenuta San Francesco.
What can you expect from this experience?
You will stroll among the centuries-old vineyards and admire the breathtaking landscapes of the Monti Lattari Mountains, accompanied by an expert guide who will reveal the secrets of local viticulture.
You will explore the 18th-century estate that belonged to the Di Palma family and discover the 17th-century wine cellar where Tenuta San Francesco’s fine wines are produced.
You should, in fact, be aware that Tramonti boasts an ancient and well-established wine culture, as well as an incredible variety of indigenous grapes, which offer precious wines with unique characteristics.
If you take part in this experience, you will taste three different varieties: Bove, D’Avino and Giordano, produced with grapes from three historical local families.
Since wines are never enjoyed on an empty stomach, you will sip them accompanied by a fresh and tasty panzanella (a salad of bread, cherry tomatoes, fresh and basil), accompanied by fresh mozzarella, ricotta, mature cheeses and cured meats.
