In fact, this experience will take you a few kilometres further from Amalfi and Positano, travelling back in time: an 8-9 hour tour of Pompeii and Vesuvius, with the Amalfi Coast as a backdrop.

An incredible journey between history and nature

Your journey will begin with a comfortable tourist bus service that will take you from Minori, Amalfi, or Atrani through all the villages of the Amalfi Coast.

Once you arrive in Pompeii, you will be immersed in the unique atmosphere of this ancient Roman city, buried under the lava of Vesuvius in 79 AD.

Here, an expert guide will take you on a tour of the archaeological excavations, telling you about the history and daily life of the ancient inhabitants, while you admire the cobbled streets, the still intact houses, the mosaics and frescoes that testify to the grandeur of an era

Next destination? Vesuvius, one of Europe’s most feared active volcanoes.

📍 How to reach the starting points of this experience

This tour departs from Maiori, Minori, Amalfi, Atrani or Praiano by one-way pick-up.
You can reach Minori and Amalfi by travelling on board Travelmar ferries, which depart every day from Salerno, Amalfi and Positano with a good frequency until 6pm.
Travelmar high-speed ferries stop at Vietri sul Mare, Cetara, Minori and Maiori.

Atrani is not covered by the sea service, but you can easily reach the town if you travel on the SITA SUD buses, which leave from all the towns along the Coast, stopping at all the towns along the way.

In short, you can easily reach the three starting points by travelling on public transport: the three destinations are all central and easily reachable.
