A few steps away is the Paper Museum, where you can discover the ancient art of handmade paper, a unique skill handed down through the centuries.
Continue with a stroll along the seafront, perhaps enjoying some homemade ice cream or a limoncello babà, and arrive at the tourist port, the ideal starting point for boat trips to Positano, Capri or the most hidden bays of the coast.

An excursion to the magical Valle delle Ferriere
If you want to immerse yourself in the unspoilt nature of the Amalfi Coast, an excursion to the Valle delle Ferriere is a must. Located in the heart of the Monti Lattari Regional Park, this nature reserve offers a unique landscape characterised by waterfalls, streams and lush vegetation. The trail, which winds its way through ancient mills and lemon groves, is particularly picturesque in spring and autumn, when the mild climate and fresh air make for a pleasant and rejuvenating walk.
Along the way, you can admire the prehistoric fern Woodwardia radicans, a rare species that thrives thanks to the humid microclimate of the valley. The waterfalls and streams that run through the reserve create a fairytale atmosphere, ideal for photography and nature lovers. In addition, the presence of ancient paper mills and ironworks bears witness to the historical importance of this area, once the hub of the Amalfi economy.
To fully enjoy this experience, we recommend taking a guided tour.
Discover the village of Atrani, a short walk from the centre of Amalfi
If you are in Amalfi, take a short 10-minute walk to reach Atrani, the smallest town on the coast in terms of surface area, but rich in charm and history. This lovely village, nestled between Mount Civita and Mount Aureo, has kept its medieval layout intact, offering an authentic and evocative atmosphere.
Start your visit from Piazza Umberto I, the heart of the village, where you will find the Church of San Salvatore de' Birecto, dating back to the 10th century, once the palatine chapel of the Dukes of Amalfi. Continue towards the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Maddalena, built in 1274, with its Rococo façade and majolica dome dominating the landscape.
Here we are talking about the evocative Chiese di Atrani (Churches of Atrani).
For lovers of hiking, a climb to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Bando, located at the top of Monte Aureo, offers a breathtaking view of the coast. Along the way, you can visit the Grotta di Masaniello, linked to the history of the famous Neapolitan revolutionary.
