Casa Pisacane

Right in the centre of Maiori, in a very central location, but away from traffic and bustle, Casa Pisacane is, in our opinion, the perfect place for couples and families.

Its two independent flats are equipped with every comfort and stylishly furnished by the owner, Salvatore, who has always been a Vespa and Fiat 500 enthusiast.

In fact, the names he has chosen already say it all: 500 Apartment and Vespa Apartment.

These are two independent two-room apartments, perfect to satisfy the needs of couples or families of up to four people.

They are characterised by a cosy design and consist of two distinct spaces: a sleeping area, complete with double bed and LCD TV, and a living area with kitchenette equipped with mini fridge, hob and dishwasher. The kitchen is equipped with all the pots and dishes needed to prepare delicious meals. A comfortable sofa bed in the living area provides additional sleeping space or an ideal place to relax in front of the TV.

There is no shortage of stylish goodies, personally chosen by Salvatore, who over the years has researched decorative and furnishing objects, often handmade by Italian artisans, sometimes known through the web and social media.

To ensure a comfortable stay, the flats are equipped with a washing machine, ironing board and iron. The bathrooms have a spacious shower and a hairdryer for guests’ comfort.

🧭 How to reach Casa Pisacane

The two delightful flats managed by Salvatore are located in the centre of Maiori, 50 metres from the sea.
They are easy to reach, even if you are travelling by public transport.

If you are travelling by public transport

✅ From Naples Airport, you can reach the station by the convenient ALIBUS company buses, which leave every 15-20 minutes, from 5:45 to 23:45. Along the way, the bus makes three strategic stops: one at the bus station and the other two at the port. The total journey time can vary from 15 to 35 minutes, depending on the destination stop chosen.
Once at the station, you can proceed by regional or intercity train to Salerno station.
You can also reach Salerno on board the SITA buses, which leave from Molo Immacolatella about every 30 minutes.

If, on the other hand, you land at Salerno Airport, you can reach the city centre with the Salerno Airlink buses, which take you to the central station. Alternatively, a taxi service is available with fixed and subsidised tariffs.

✅ From Salerno you can reach Maiori in two ways:

🔹 By bus
Just outside the station, you will find the SITA bus stop for Amalfi. The bus leaves every hour and reaches the town of Maiori in about an hour.
The last bus from Salerno usually leaves at 21.30.
In Maiori ask for the bus stop in Via G. Amendola: you will be a 3-minute walk away.

🔹 By ferry
From the station, it takes about 15 minutes to reach Piazza della Concordia and from here proceed to the Molo. TRAVELMAR ferries leave every hour from Molo Concordia, stopping in Vietri Sul Mare, Cetara and finally Maiori.
From the Port of Maiori, it is a pleasant walk of about 15 minutes.

If travelling by car

✅ if you are coming from the North, on the A1 motorway take the exit for Angri. From here, proceed as far as Valico di Chiunzi and then proceed through all the hamlets of Tramonti, proceeding as far as Maiori. From here, follow the signs to reach your destination. Alternatively, you can take the scenic SS163, passing through the towns of Vietri sul Mare and Cetara in that order.

👍 Why we do recommend it

✅ Strategic location

Casa Pisacane is in a very convenient location for an overnight stay on the Amalfi Coast: it is right in the centre of Maiori, but in a sheltered position, protecting you from street noise and chaos.
In addition to this, you literally have a supermarket and a fruit and vegetable shop on your doorstep, a pharmacy and an ice-cream parlour 30 metres away. The beach and the bus stop are just 50 metres distant.
In short, convenience guaranteed!

✅ Cosy, well-kept and comfortable accommodation

Salvatore is one of those very rare people who puts passion and dedication into everything he does.
For him, it's not just a matter of managing two flats for tourists, but it is essential that the rooms have that extra special touch.
In short, you will enter a space that has been conceived and designed with the idea of conveying his passion for the Vespa and the Fiat 500, through the meticulous choice of stylish details, which you will certainly appreciate even more if you are an enthusiast yourself.

✅ Perfect if you're travelling with children

Convenience and a strategic location make these two flats perfect if you are travelling with children: from Casa Pisacane you can reach practically everything in no time.

🗺️ Things to see on your doorstep

Given the location, you can really do anything. In particular, we recommend:

📍Salicerchie beach

One of the most beautiful beaches on the Amalfi Coast: a real hidden gem.
Just think that until a few years ago it was known as ‘Baia Verde’ (Green Bay), in reference to the spectacular colour of the water that bathes it.

Not far from the centre of Maiori, it is easily reached on foot, proceeding along the SS 163. The beach is marked by a sign: from this point, just walk down the 160 steps leading to the sea.
The beach hosts a residence bathing establishment that overlooks the surrounding hillside. For the more adventurous, it is possible to swim to the suggestive Grotta Suffregna, renowned for its sulphurous waters and therapeutic properties.

You are also very close to:
📍 Corso Reginna, where you will find shops and bar;
📍 Minori which is about 1 km away and which you can also reach on foot;
📍 the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria a Mare, with its majolica dome;
📍 The Path of the Lemons, which we discuss in this article.

🗓️ Events not to be missed

✅ If your holiday happens to straddle Ferragosto (mid-August), you will have the chance to experience the most local event of all: the celebration dedicated to Santa Maria a Mare, the town's patron saint.
The festivities are solemn and involve the entire townspeople, contributing to that unique mix of religious and folksy aspects that make local events unique and unmissable.
At Ferragosto you will find the seafront and the centre invaded by an incredible number of people, all waiting for the fireworks display, which starts in the late evening, generally after 11pm.

✅  If, on the other hand, you are lucky enough to be travelling during Carnival time, don't miss the Grand Carnival of Maiori, which usually covers the two weekends preceding Carnival Tuesday.
This is an event that grows year by year and is now the result of a very long tradition, started in the 1970s, and carried on with love and passion by the citizens of Maiori.
During the days of the event, you can watch the fun parade of allegorical floats, getting involved in the joy and enthusiasm that flood the streets of the town.

If you are travelling with children it is absolutely a must. You can learn more by reading our article dedicated to the Maiori Carnival.

✅ During the summer, the Porto Turistico in Maiori hosts various events. From Casa Pisacane you are just a stone's throw away: verify if there is something interesting during your stay.

📌 Not to be missed if you are staying here

Since you are already in the area, we recommend a few things that we think are worth doing during your stay, to make your experience truly local!

Breakfast at Pasticceria Napoli
A traditional pastry shop, where in addition to the smell of delicious pastries and aromatic coffee, you will find the friendly owner, who welcomes and pampers you in a truly unique way.

✅  The "Sospiri al limone" (Lemon sights) of the Trieste pastry shop
An ideal destination for an alternative breakfast or a sweet break after the sea, the historic pasticceria Trieste is one of those timeless places that is well worth a visit.
Here we absolutely recommend that you fall into temptation: bite into a sweet lemon sigh and lose yourself in the softness of a moment of pure delicacy, which smells of sfusato amalfitano.
