🧭 How to reach

This B&B is located in the picturesque village of Torello, a quiet hamlet of Ravello, in Via Traglio: an unspoilt corner of the Amalfi Coast, where time seems to pass more slowly.
Below, we explain step by step how to reach us easily, whatever your starting point.

✅If you travel by public transport

By train or bus

🔹 From Naples airport, you can easily reach the central station with the ALIBUS buses. From there, take a train or bus towards Salerno: both options are frequent and take less than an hour.

🔹 If you land at Salerno airport, you can choose between the Salerno Airlink shuttle bus or a taxi to get to the city centre.
Here you will also find a guide to help you get around easily from Salerno airport.

🔹 Once at Salerno station, take a SITA bus to Amalfi (estimated time: 60 minutes), and from there take a second bus to Ravello, which will take about 20–25 minutes. Tickets can be purchased via the Unico app or at newsagents in the station.

📣Here you will find the updated SITA timetables and lots of tips for getting around by public transport!

✅ Alternatively, travel by sea

For a more scenic route, you can take a ferry from Molo Concordia in Salerno to Amalfi: the journey takes about an hour and takes you through some of the most beautiful scenery in the Mediterranean. Once in Amalfi, simply take a SITA bus to Ravello.

✅ If travelling by car

From Naples, take the A1 motorway and follow the signs for the Amalfi Coast. Continue along the SS163 until the junction for Castiglione di Ravello, then follow the signs for Ravello and finally for Torello. From there, take Via Traglio, a small road that will take you directly to the property.
Parking: Borgo Torello has a public car park nearby, which cannot be booked in advance, at a cost of €12 per day.

Given the narrow local roads, we recommend travelling in a small car.

After about 100 metres, turn slightly right into Via Crocelle, then turn left into Via Traglio.

🗺️ Things to see on your doorstep

📍 Villa Cimbrone

Villa Cimbrone is much more than just a historic villa: it is a place suspended between reality and dream, where art blends with nature and every corner seems to tell a poem. Just a short walk from the centre of Ravello, this splendid residence has its roots in the Middle Ages, but owes its current appearance to the restoration carried out by Lord Grimthorpe in the early 20th century.

The villa's gardens are truly enchanting: a path through sculpted hedges, neoclassical statues, fountains, grottoes and romantic views that culminates in the famous Terrazza dell'Infinito (Terrace of Infinity). From here, the view stretches out into a dizzying panorama that encompasses the Gulf of Salerno, the cliffs of the Amalfi Coast and the blue horizon of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

It is no coincidence that personalities such as Virginia Woolf, Greta Garbo and Winston Churchill have passed through here, captivated by the timeless beauty of this place.

📍 Villa Rufolo

Overlooking Piazza Duomo, Villa Rufolo is one of the undisputed symbols of Ravello, famous for its Moorish-Norman charm and for having inspired artists and musicians from all over the world. Built in the 13th century by the powerful Rufolo family, the villa was once a veritable mansion, enriched with towers, loggias, cloisters and courtyards that still enchant visitors today.

But what makes Villa Rufolo truly special is its connection to music: it was here, in 1880, that Richard Wagner found inspiration for Klingsor's garden in Parsifal, and since then the villa has become the beating heart of the Ravello Festival, which every year transforms its panoramic terrace into a stage suspended between sky and sea. The gardens of Villa Rufolo, with their perfect geometry, centuries-old cypress trees and breathtaking views, offer a complete sensory experience, where every step is accompanied by an echo of beauty and harmony.

It is the perfect place for those who love art, history and the emotion of a landscape that changes with the light of every hour.

📍 Ravello Cathedral

Right in front of Villa Rufolo, the square is dominated by the majestic Ravello Cathedral, dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta and San Pantaleone. Founded in the 11th century, this sacred building is one of the most significant examples of Romanesque architecture in Campania, enriched by Byzantine and Baroque influences.

Its simple but solemn façade houses a treasure trove of art and faith: two splendid finely carved marble pulpits, medieval mosaics, a bronze portal from 1179 decorated with sacred scenes, and an ampoule containing the blood of Saint Pantaleon, an object of popular devotion due to the miracle of liquefaction that takes place every 27 July. Inside the cathedral there is also a small museum of sacred art, where relics, Roman urns, sarcophagi and paintings from the Renaissance and Baroque periods are preserved. But what is striking, apart from the artistic details, is the atmosphere that reigns in these naves: a sense of peace, contemplation and continuity with the profound history of the place.

You are also close to:
📍 The village of Scala: the oldest village on the Amalfi Coast;
📍 Castiglione beach: reached via a flight of steps from the SS 163 Amalfitana road, between the junction for Ravello and the village ofAtrani.
Crystal clear water, sheer cliffs and a hidden corner of paradise: this is the perfect oasis if you are looking for peace and authentic beauty in the heart of the Amalfi Coast. In high season, we recommend arriving early in the morning to enjoy its tranquillity to the fullest.
📍 The Ravello-Minori walk: starting just above Villa Rufolo, you will pass through lemon terraces, fragrant gardens and glimpses of the sea through the rocks, until you reach the village of Torello and continue towards Minori. The walk takes 90-120 minutes, with ups and downs, but reveals an authentic and quiet side of the Amalfi Coast, far from the crowds.

🎉 Things to do nearby

Staying in Torello means being in a strategic and picturesque location on the Amalfi Coast, immersed in the tranquillity of a village suspended in the greenery, yet just a stone's throw from some of the region's most famous and fascinating wonders. There is no shortage of opportunities to explore, discover and be surprised.

✅ One of the most authentic and accessible experiences from Torello is the panoramic descent to Minori. A historic staircase, well maintained and illuminated even in the evening, connects the vicinity of Villa Rufolo, in the centre of Ravello, to the heart of Minori, passing through the village of Torello. A twenty-minute walk — ideal in the early morning or at sunset — is all it takes to find yourself by the sea, surrounded by the scent of lemons and postcard views.

Once in Minori, don't miss the opportunity to continue along the famous Sentiero dei Limoni (Lemon Trail), an ancient panoramic path that connects Minori to Maiori, overlooking cultivated terraces and quiet bays. It is a simple but charming walk, perfect for savouring the true soul of the Amalfi Coast.

✅ Some of Italy's most beloved villages await you in the surrounding area. The charming village of Scala, one of the oldest on the coast, is only a few minutes away by car or bus and is the perfect destination for those seeking tranquillity, breathtaking views and an authentic atmosphere. A few kilometres away is Amalfi, with its iconic cathedral and lively narrow streets. Further afield, but still easily reachable in 30-40 minutes by car, is the picturesque Positano, a vertical mosaic of colours and fashion, perched directly on the sea.
Thanks to frequent bus and ferry connections, you can easily move between the various towns along the coast, without stress and with the pleasure of enjoying every bend, every landing and every new perspective on the landscape.

✅ If your stay is extended for a few days, we highly recommend spending at least one day on a boat trip. Whether you want to snorkel, relax in the sun or toast the sunset with a glass of wine, the coast seen from the sea offers unforgettable emotions. Departures are mainly from Amalfi, and many excursions include stops in hidden coves, aperitifs on board and stories of local traditions.
For a truly special day, treat yourself to a trip to Capri, the island of sirens and sea stacks. Ferries depart daily from Amalfi and return in the late afternoon, leaving you time to explore the boutiques of Anacapri, the Gardens of Augustus, the famous Piazzetta and perhaps even the Blue Grotto, sea conditions permitting.

✅ If you visit the coast in spring or autumn, when the weather is mild and the paths are bathed in golden light, you might consider a day trip to Sorrento — elegant, lively and panoramic — or to timeless Pompeii, one of the most exciting archaeological sites in the world. Both are just over an hour away, offering intense cultural experiences steeped in history, myths and views of Vesuvius.

✅ During your stay, you can choose from a range of experiences designed to make your trip even more special:

🔹 Traditional cooking classes, where you can learn the secrets of Campania cuisine and prepare authentic dishes with local ingredients.

🔹 Wine tastings in the picturesque area of Tramonti, among hillside vineyards and small producers who tell stories of passion and the land.

🔹 Kayaking adventures along the coast or, for the more daring, a parasailing session to admire the deep blue of the Tyrrhenian Sea from above.

🔹Nature excursions, such as the one to the Valle delle Ferriere, a green oasis among waterfalls, prehistoric ferns and the ruins of ancient paper mills.

🗓️ Events not to be missed

✅ The Ravello Festival
The Ravello Festival is a prestigious cultural event held every summer in the charming village of Ravello.
For almost two months, between June and September, the breathtaking scenery of Villa Rufolo and the Oscar Niemeyer Auditorium host symphonic concerts, chamber music, jazz performances, dance shows, film screenings, exhibitions and meetings with world-renowned artists.

The festival takes place around a central theme that varies each year, giving coherence and identity to a cultural programme of international scope.
In addition to Wagner's music, which retains a place of honour, the Festival has become an opportunity to celebrate culture in all its forms, bringing together local audiences and visitors from all over the world. Unparalleled views, historic architecture and outstanding performances make the Ravello Festival an emotional, refined and unforgettable experience, combining art, nature and beauty in one of the most evocative corners of Italy.

If you are in Ravello on the night of San Lorenzo, don't miss the concert at dawn, during which you can enjoy the sunrise in the enchanting setting of Villa Rufolo, listening to classical music in a blaze of indescribable emotions!
Book your ticket in advance, as the event is always sold out.

✅ The "Torello Fire"
The Torello Fire closes the religious celebrations dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows. The event has a profound charm, where devotion, tradition and spectacle intertwine to offer unique emotions. The highlight is the historical re-enactment of a fire that struck the village in 1135, during the attack of the Pisans on the Republic of Amalfi.

Through a skilful play of lights, fireworks and pyrotechnic displays, the houses are “lit up” one by one, simulating the siege and the fire, in a luminous narrative that culminates in the final victory of the inhabitants of Ravello.
The natural scenery does the rest: the view from the village, which dominates Minori and the sea below, is breathtaking, but to admire the spectacle in all its scenic splendour, many choose to climb up to Ravello, which offers an even wider perspective.

The atmosphere is one of old-fashioned village festivals, with lights on the houses, stalls selling sweets and strong local participation that makes everything more genuine. If you are looking for an experience away from the beaten tourist track, the Incendio di Torello is a precious opportunity to experience the most authentic Amalfi Coast, made up of ancient rituals, lively communities and timeless beauty.
