🗺️ Things to see on your doorstep
As we’ve already mentioned, you’re in a very convenient location that allows you to easily reach everything you want: from restaurants to other towns along the coast, you can truly do whatever you like, in total comfort.
In this section, let’s take a look at the attractions available in the immediate vicinity:
📍 The boardwalk, the beaches, and downtown
You’re just 100 meters from the beach and the boardwalk, so we’re happy to provide you with some more information about them.
Minori has 4 equipped beaches, as well as some public beaches, which offer free access and the pleasure of enjoying even just a few hours by the sea, without feeling the need to stay all day because you’ve rented a beach umbrella and deck chairs.
At the beach, you can also rent a pedal boat or a canoe.
The promenade, meanwhile, is sort of the locals’ hangout: this is where the laid-back summer bustle is concentrated, with a few stops at kiosks and bars.
📍 The Church of Santa Trofimena
Built in the 18th century on the ruins of a previous cathedral, the church, dedicated to the patron saint, stands out for its clean lines and the brightness of its interior, where light filters through the large windows, creating an atmosphere of peace and serenity. Inside, you can admire priceless artistic treasures, such as the altarpiece of the Crucifixion by Marco Pino da Siena.
But it is the crypt, hidden beneath the high altar, that reveals its full charm; a place of contemplation and deep spirituality, where the statue and relics of Saint Trofimena rest.
📍 The Roman Maritime Villa
If you’re in Minori, you absolutely must not miss the Roman Maritime Villa, located on Via dei Patrizi Romani, just a short distance from Boutique Penthouse.
Built during the reign of Tiberius, this luxurious seaside residence served as a retreat for the Roman aristocracy.
Excavated beginning in the 1930s, the villa has revealed a vivid picture of daily life at the time, with its sumptuous rooms decorated with frescoes and mosaics. The heart of the villa is the triclinium with a nymphaeum, a richly decorated dining hall where banquets were held. The baths, with their pools and heating systems, offered moments of relaxation and well-being. The garden, with its central pool and portico, was the ideal place to stroll and enjoy the view of the sea.
The Antiquarium, attached to the villa, houses a rich collection of archaeological finds, including ceramics, amphorae, fishing tools, and frescoes, which tell the story of this fascinating residence and its context.
Admission to the Roman Maritime Villa is free.
