By the way, if your destination is Minori, be sure to read our comprehensive guide: it’s packed with useful information to help you plan your trip to perfection!

🧭 How to reach

The Limonaia della Torretta is located on Via Torre, along the picturesque Sentiero dei Limoni, in a quiet spot away from the town centre.
To reach it, you’ll need to walk a short distance and climb a few steps: the slight effort is certainly rewarded by the breathtaking view and the tranquillity that this location offers.
Below, we’ll look at how to reach your destination, whether you’re travelling by public transport or by car.

✅ By public transport

Even if you are travelling by public transport, you can easily reach Minori.
If you are arriving at Naples Airport, head to the Central Station using the convenient ALIBUS service or by booking a taxi. Please note that taxis from the airport operate on more affordable flat-rate fares.

🔹 Once you arrive at Naples Station, the best option for reaching Salerno station is undoubtedly the train: with a Regional or Intercity service, you’ll reach your destination in a maximum of 50–60 minutes.

🔹 Alternatively, SITA SUD buses bound for Salerno run from Via Depretis, a short distance from the station: services run approximately every 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the time of day. By bus, you’ll reach the Piazza della Concordia stop in Salerno in about an hour.

Once you arrive in Salerno, you have two options:

🔹 The SITA SUD bus: as you leave the station, your stop is the shelter on your right. Simply wait for the bus to AMALFI: services run approximately once an hour, except on public holidays, when the frequency is halved. We recommend checking the timetables on the company’s website. You can buy your tickets at the station or via the Unico app.

📣 Here you can find the time schedules to plan your trip.

🔹 Travelmar ferries: if you prefer a more comfortable – and, above all, more scenic – option, we recommend taking the ferry from Molo Concordia, about a 15-minute walk from Salerno station. In this case, you’ll travel along the coast, taking in the extraordinary scenery of the Amalfi Coast as seen from the sea: the experience – we assure you! – is truly delightful.

📣 Book your tickets here!

What’s more, this is the recommended option during the high season, when the SS 163 Amalfitana is more prone to traffic congestion.

✅ By car

If you prefer the convenience of your own car, reach Minori via the A1 motorway and follow the signs for the Amalfi Coast. Once you arrive, you’ll find a private car park reserved for guests of the villa, taking the stress out of finding a parking space, especially during the high season.

📍 The Path of Lemons

If you choose the Limonaia della Torretta, you’ll be on the Path of Lemons, which we recommend you take at a leisurely pace, heading towards nearby Maiori.
This ancient route, once vital for the lemon business, winds its way through cultivated terraces and offers breathtaking views of the sea. Every step along the trail is an opportunity to discover the history, culture and nature of this unique land.
You’ll admire the lemon groves, a symbol of the Amalfi Coast, and breathe in the intense aroma of citrus fruits. You’ll also have the chance to meet local lemon growers and discover the secrets of cultivating this precious fruit.

📍 Walk to Maiori

As you walk along the Path of the lemons, you’ll easily reach the town of Maiori, a lively hub on the Amalfi Coast, which will amaze and charm you with its many bars and restaurants and the little shops in its town centre.

Along the way, stop to admire the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria a Mare

An architectural gem well worth a thorough visit. Situated in a position overlooking the town of Maiori, it is a landmark for visitors walking the famous Lemon Trail.
The interior of the Collegiate Church is a feast of art and history, with frescoes, sculptures and stuccoes that bear witness to centuries of popular devotion. The majolica-tiled dome, a symbol of the city, is a landmark visible from afar, whilst the monumental organ, with its 1,700 pipes, enchants visitors with its melodies.

The Collegiate Church of Santa Maria a Mare is not only a place of worship but also a meeting place for the local community, where important religious and traditional events are celebrated, such as the feast of the patron saint, which takes place on 15 August.

📍 In the village of Torre, don’t miss the Church of San Michele Arcangelo

This church is the beating heart of the village, is a historical and artistic gem well worth a visit. Its origins are lost in the mists of time, but we know it already existed in the 10th century. The current building, the result of numerous restorations and extensions, retains a simple and harmonious architecture that blends perfectly into the surrounding landscape. Inside, frescoes and sculptures recount centuries of popular devotion, whilst the 18th-century organ enchants with its melodies.

The church is closely linked to village life and local traditions, such as the patron saint’s festival dedicated to St Michael the Archangel.

If you’re a lover of history and art, don’t miss a visit to the little church, especially during the Christmas period, when you can admire a charming artistic nativity scene.

🗓️ Events not to be missed

✅ Gusta Minori
Gusta Minori is an unmissable event for anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast in late summer. This festival, which usually takes place between late August and early September, is a true celebration of local traditions and flavours.
The streets of the historic centre come alive with food stalls offering a wide selection of local specialities, from buffalo mozzarella to traditional desserts and local wines. Whilst sampling the culinary delights, you can enjoy musical and theatrical performances celebrating the culture and art of the Amalfi Coast. The involvement of local restaurants makes the experience even more authentic, with special menus created just for the event.

✅ The festival dedicated to the Patron Saint of Minori
Minori celebrates its Patron Saint, Saint Trofimena, with a series of festivities deeply cherished by the locals. The main dates are 5 and 27 November, and above all 13 July, when the celebrations reach their peak in terms of participation and community involvement. During these days, the town comes alive with religious processions, music, dancing and fireworks displays.
The locals’ devotion to their patron saint is palpable and there is a real festive atmosphere. If you are lucky enough to be in Minori at this time, don’t miss the chance to take part in the religious ceremonies and savour the local traditions.

📌 Not to be missed if you are staying here

For you, who read everything because you want to plan your trip to perfection, here are a few tips to help you discover the most authentic side of Minori!

✅ The Lemon Salad
Since you’ll be staying right along the Lemon Trail, you should know that we locals eat lemons in every possible way. The Amalfi sfusato, which we discuss in this article, is a very aromatic citrus fruit: its characteristics make it a valuable ingredient in the kitchen. Its milder tartness, compared to the classic lemon, makes our Sfusato perfect for eating in a salad too, sliced thinly and dressed with oil and salt. Give it a try and let us know what you think!

✅ Speaking of lemons, don’t miss out on a delicious glass of limoncello!
If you’d like to try some good limoncello or take a few bottles home, we recommend two options, both excellent: the Mansi distillery on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, just a short walk from the seafront, and Pasticceria Gambardella, which is a little further away: in both cases, you’ll taste two excellent liqueurs, made according to tradition.

✅ Fancy an unforgettable evening with your loved one?
In Minori, Ristorante Giardiniello is the perfect spot for a romantic dining experience. Nestled in a lush garden, this historic restaurant will enchant you with its charming atmosphere and refined cuisine. Let yourself be captivated by the authentic flavours of the Amalfi Coast, savouring dishes prepared with the freshest ingredients and accompanied by a carefully selected range of local wines.

✅ A sweet treat from Sal De Riso
Since you’re in Minori, don’t miss out on sampling one or more of its famous desserts: stepping into the elegant and refined patisserie, you’ll be transported to Wonderland. Before you lies an extraordinary display of individual portions, enchanting even at first glance.
Our tip? Don’t miss the lemon delight and the famous ricotta and pears.
During the Christmas or Easter period, the panettone and colomba cakes are highly recommended – perfect to take home too!

📣 We’ve even dedicated this entire article to the master, Sal De Riso!
