🧭 How to reach
The Suite del Cavaliere is located in Via Filippo Augustariccio, 4: the location is very central and very easy to reach.
Amalfi, as we also explain here, is a very strategic destination for anyone wishing to move easily between the various destinations on the Amalfi Coast: in fact, all Sita buses and ferries leave from here to reach both the other villages and destinations a little further away, such as Capri and Sorrento.
Below, we provide you with all the information you need to reach your destination without stress.
If travelling by public transport
If you arrive at Naples airport, you will need to get to Naples Central Station. You can do this by using the Alibus service, which runs from 5:45 a.m. until 11:45 p.m., with an optimal frequency (about every 15-20 minutes).
If you have a lot of luggage and prefer more comfort, you can also plan a transfer with the taxis available at the exit of the airport: the taxis travel at fixed tariffs, generally costing no more than €30 to reach the station.
From the Napoli Centrale station, you will have to reach the city of Salerno, travelling by regional or Intercity train: your journey time will not exceed 50/60 minutes.
Otherwise, if you are travelling in spring or summer, you can also reach Molo Beverello to reach Salerno by sea.
Please note that the Amalfi Coast does not have a railway line:
therefore, you can reach Amalfi by road
or by sea.
In the first case, you will travel on board the Sita Sud buses: they run approximately every hour, except on holidays, during which the frequency of the service is halved.
Sita Sud buses stop in all the villages on the Amalfi Coast and will be your means of transport during your holiday.
In this regard, we recommend downloading the Unico App, through which you can purchase your tickets easily from your smartphone, without having to stop at any of the authorised sales points.
If you are not tech-savvy, you can rely on the many shops (usually bars or tobacconists) that show the ‘Unico’ logo and are allowed to sell tickets.
Sometimes you can buy tickets on board, but this is not normally provided: always try to buy tickets before boarding the bus and remember to obliterate them!
At the station, you can buy them at the newsstand just before the exit.
Your stop for Amalfi will be on the right, under the only visible bus shelter, a few steps from the exit.
Amalfi is the last stop: enjoy your 60-minute journey from your window and start savouring the beauty of the Amalfi Coast!
By sea
Alternatively, you can reach Amalfi by travelling on board the Travelmar ferries, which you can take from Molo Concordia, which is about a 15-minute walk from Salerno Station.
In this case, your travel experience will be more pleasant and suggestive, as you can enjoy the view from the sea, immediately getting into the holiday mood.
Travelmar's service is generally available from spring until November: if you plan to travel by sea, we advise you to check the availability of the service, which may vary due to adverse weather conditions.
If you are travelling by car
Reaching Amalfi by car means immersing yourself in a landscape that will leave you breathless. But beware, the coastal road is a unique experience that requires some practice and attention.
Starting from the north:
If you are coming from the A1 motorway, the most convenient exit is Angri. From here, you will take the state road that leads to the Valico di Chiunzi, a panoramic point that will give you a first taste of the beauty of the coast.
Beyond the pass, you will begin to descend towards the coast, passing through the characteristic villages of Tramonti until you reach Maiori. From here, follow the signs for Amalfi and get ready for a succession of bends and hairpin bends that will lead you straight into the heart of this pearl of the Amalfi Coast.
Starting from the south:
If you are arriving from Salerno, the itinerary is even more evocative. Following the SS163, you will immediately find yourself immersed in the heart of the Amalfi Coast.
Every bend is a new emotion, every panorama a picture to be immortalised. You will pass through picturesque villages such as Vietri sul Mare, famous for its ceramics, and Cetara, renowned for its colatura di alici.
