🧭 How to reach B&b Don Giovanni

Having arrived in Naples or Salerno, you are already one step away from the beautiful Amalfi Coast and your final destination, Maiori. Don't worry about transfers, we'll show you the most comfortable and fastest route.

✅ From Naples Airport
If you arrive at Naples Capodichino Airport, the most popular option is to take the ALIBUS to Naples Central Station, and from there a regional or Intercity train to Salerno. This is a cheap and convenient way to reach the city.

✅ From Salerno Airport
From Salerno Airport, you can reach the railway station in two ways: by the Salerno Airlink shuttle bus, a direct and frequent service, or by taxi, with predetermined fares for greater transparency.

✅ From Salerno Once in Salerno, whether you have arrived by train from Naples airport or by plane directly to Salerno, you have several options for getting to Maiori:

🔹 Bus: From Salerno's train station there are frequent SITA buses to Amalfi. Just get off at the stop in Maiori and in a few minutes you will be at your destination.

🔹 Ferry: For a more atmospheric experience, you can reach Molo Concordia in Salerno and board a TRAVELMAR ferry. Admire the beauty of the Amalfi Coast from a different angle as you sail to Maiori.

🔹 By car: If you reach your destination by car, if you are driving from the north, take the Angri exit on the A1. From there, follow the indications for Valico di Chiunzi and then drive through the pretty hamlets of Tramonti until you reach Maiori.

Or, if you prefer a more scenic route, you can choose the SS163 and admire the beauty of Vietri sul Mare and Cetara. We would like to remind you that the hotel has parking spaces at reduced rates: in this way, you will avoid the nightmare of searching for a parking space.

Whatever your choice, a warm welcome and an unforgettable stay awaits you.

👍 Why we do recommend it

We have carefully selected the facilities you see on our site. And, no, we have not chosen them because we know the owners directly, but we have made a selection by trying to choose different types of accommodation, according to the different needs of travellers.

In this case, we recommend you book your holiday at B&b Don Giovanni for 3 reasons:

✅ Its handy location

As we have said, you are in the centre of Maiori: this contributes to ensuring that all the main attractions are close at hand, without having to deal with the possible stress of moving around and how to do it.

✅ Elegant and well-kept rooms with sea view

All of the rooms at this hotel are elegant and well cared for down to the smallest detail. Each has a balcony with a sea view, where a tasty Italian breakfast is served.

✅ Ideal if you are travelling with children, but also for a romantic getaway

Comfort and convenience are two terms that go perfectly well with family holidays. If you are travelling with children, this accommodation is perfect for you.
If you are planning a trip with the whole family, we recommend that you also read this article that we wrote with travellers travelling with children in mind!

We also recommend it if you're travelling with your other half: the care taken with the rooms, the possibility of admiring a sunset over the sea from your room and the pleasure of having breakfast looking out over the sea are all pluses that go perfectly with enjoying a romantic getaway.

🗺️ Things to see on your doorstep

📍 The beach of Maiori

You are about 70 metres from the beach of Maiori, served by several bathing establishments, which can satisfy all your needs.

📍 The beach of Salicerchie

Also known as ‘Acquachiara’, this delightful little beach is about a ten minute walk from B&b Don Giovanni.
To reach it, proceed along the SS163, passing the Norman Tower: a few metres away, you will see a flight of steps (there are 160 steps in total) leading to the beach.

📣 A word of advice: since it is considered one of the most beautiful beaches on the coast, it is also taken by locals at peak times. Therefore, we recommend you reach it in the early morning hours to enjoy its tranquillity and the times when it is less crowded.

You are also very close to:
📍 Corso Reginna, where you will find shops, bars and services, and the Gardens of Palazzo Mezzacapo
📍 Minori, which is about 1 km away and which you can also reach on foot
📍 The Path of The Lemons
📍 the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria a Mare, with its majolica dome
📍Santa Maria de Olearia

🎉 Things to do nearby

Your strategic location will make your holiday even more pleasant and exciting!

Whether you choose to reach the most iconic destinations, such as Amalfi, Positano, and Ravello, or whether you choose to take roads less travelled, reaching more hidden and secluded locations (such as the village of Scala or the greenery of Tramonti), your location allows you to do so without any particular stress.

If your stay on the Amalfi Coast is longer, we recommend adding a boat trip or a trip out of town to Capri to your travel itinerary. On this subject, here is a useful article to help you organise your day!

You could also add a getaway to Naples to your travel itinerary: it takes just over two hours by public transport. If you are considering this idea, one piece of advice is to plan in advance what you want to do, as the city offers so many sites and attractions and it will certainly not be possible to visit them in one day. Planning in advance what you want to see will help you to save time and avoid stress, rushing and last-minute cancellations.

🗓️ Events not to be missed

If you are staying in Maiori, depending on the time of year, you will be able to find various events and initiatives that will enhance your experience there and allow you to take home unforgettable memories.

✅ Let's start with Ferragosto, a moment of devotion and folklore, intimately connected to the essence of Maiori: 15 August is, in fact, the day dedicated to Santa Maria a Mare, the town's Patron Saint. For the occasion, the streets of Maiori come alive with festive vibrancy: between religious celebrations and more folkloristic moments, the highlight of the summer is charged with even more joy and devotion.

We advise you not to miss the fireworks display that masterfully closes the evening.

✅ If your stay on the Amalfi Coast coincides with the Carnival period, know that you will find another unique event in Maiori, deeply rooted in the town's traditions: we are talking about the Gran Carnevale Maiorese, a riot of colour and joie de vivre, the preparations for which begin several months beforehand, with the preparation of the traditional papier-mâché floats.

Remember, moreover, that there are numerous musical and cultural events scheduled throughout the year, especially in concomitance with the summer period: there is never a shortage of interesting events in July and August, most of which are held at the marina.

Also, given your strategic location, do not underestimate festivals and cultural events in nearby Minori.

📌 Not to be missed if you are staying here

Do you want some tips for experiencing your stay in Maiori as a true local?

✅ A breakfast at pasticceria Napoli
In Corso Reginna, not far from your accommodation, you will find Pasticceria Napoli, which bakes delicious cakes.

The real experience, however, is being welcomed by the very friendly landlady, who fills your heart and soul with her way of saying 'Gioia Bella' and 'Tesoro bello': in short, having breakfast here is a pampering in every respect.

✅ The Sospiro al Limone at Pasticceria Trieste

A treat you don't want to miss is the Sospiro al Limone (Lemon Sigh) from the Trieste pastry shop: a soft sponge cake casket wrapped in a delicate lemon cream and covered with sweet icing.
